I have fished many tournaments throughout the United States and ask myself the
same thing over and over again, how can I pitch an open hook jig into the worst
cover without getting snagged? I have tried many jig heads using rubber bands
and wire and found only one that works every time, The Weed Wizard Jig. The
Weed Wizard jig is a new jig head design that has a locking/removable wire
device that can be adjusted for the cover. It is a great jig that can be used any
where you want to throw an open hooked jig, which was usually reserved for the
open water and normally used from smallmouth fishing, now it can be used in the
thickest of cover. I recently fished a BASS tournament on the Red River in
Shreveport, Louisiana and found that casting to the shoreline was impossible
with an open hook so I used The Weed Wizard and was able to fish through the
cover using my open hook preference for tubes. While everyone in the area I
was fishing was pitching creature baits and casting spinner baits just short of the
cover I was following right behind but casting into the cover and catching fish
using a 3"tube on a 1/4 oz Weed Wizard Jig. The Weed Wizard Jigs are the
most versatile weedless jig heads I have ever fished.
